Hawaii Trip Day 1

We left for Oahu, Hawaii on November 11th. Our plane departed at 2:20 am so we had a six hour red eye flight. It was great because we all slept most of the flight and it went pretty quickly. Jace did great on the flight. When we arrived I could feel the warm air and smell the flowers.

Here is Sheldon and Jace right after we got off the airplane. Even the airport has beautiful scenery.
After we got our rental car and made it to our apartment we decided to go and explore. We went to Magic Island, a peninsula on the South Shore. It is only 2 miles from our apartment and is the nearest beach to us. Jace was mostly interested in chasing the birds.

The beach was pretty crowded but we were expecting that on the South Shore. It's the most crowded area on the whole island. Sheldon is working at Hickam AFB so we are living in Honolulu. It's a really busy and really crowded city.
Jace really enjoyed the water and had fun playing in the sand.


And he's off to chase another bird. We had a great first day and were so glad to find a beach so close to us.
