10 Months!!

Jace turned 10 months a few weeks ago. It's been fun to watch Jace learn new things. He just figured out how to stand up with the help of furniture and has started cruising around the furniture taking little tiny steps. He says momma and dadda a lot and I think he knows those two words because he looks right at me and says momma and the same when Sheldon comes in the room he says dadda. I also think he knows what the word Lucky means because when I say it he looks at the floor to try to see his dog. His nap and bedtime schedule is very consistent and regular now and he is a very happy little baby. He loves laughing and playing. He also only has three bottles everyday and eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner in his high chair. We go outside a lot and Jace really loves crawling around the backyard looking at new things. I always have to put the pacifier in his mouth when we go outside otherwise he will eat grass, sticks, rocks, etc. Here he is in his infant car seat which we don't use anymore. We are going to keep taking pictures of him in it until he turns 1 year just to see the changes from newborn to 1 year. Only two more months until he's 1!!A lot of people always comment on Jace's eyes and I agree that they are really handsome!
I bought Jace a little tiny pool and he really likes sitting in it and also crawling out of it.

Here's Jace in front of our tulip plant. It's really beautiful and we had to get a picture of him in front of it.
I think Jace was really happy to finally be able to stand up and get into the places he has only been able to look at before. He loves to pull the diapers out and play with them.
Here's our little cutie that we love so much! We are so blessed to be Jace's parents.

Jace Taking it Easy

Jace is really cute when he is ready for a little break. He loves to recline and lay back on pretty much anything that is comfy. His favorite place is right on Lucky. It cracks me up.

Tulip Festival & Silver Falls

For the last part of the week we headed to the Woodburn Tulip Festival, stayed overnight in Silverton and then we went to Silver Falls State Park. We put a plastic bag over Jace's legs to keep him from getting wet. It was raining pretty much the whole time and the mist from the waterfalls got us all pretty wet. The next day my parents left after a week full of fun. I was REALLY sad to see them go and say goodbye. We had a great week together!!

Hoyt Arboretum

When my parents came to visit I tried to think of some things to do that we had never done before. I heard about how pretty Hoyt Arboretum is and thought it would be fun to go and check it out. I was amazed at all the beautiful trees and how peaceful it was. I can't believe we had never gone there before especially because it is not that far away and it's free. We had so much fun there we decided to go back and take Richard and Roselle there too.

Oregon Coast

This post is a continuation of spring break with my parents. After we spent two days at Seaside we headed home. On our way we stopped at Ecola State Park and the Tillamook Cheese Factory for some free samples and a tour of the factory. Sheldon headed home that morning because he had to be at school so he missed out on our day. We had fun taking our time to get home and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the coast-even though it was VERY rainy and cold.

Seaside

While my parents were here visiting for spring break we planned a trip to the coast. We stayed in Seaside at a really nice beach house only a few blocks away from the beach. We went to the Seaside Aquarium and thought the most interesting part were the seals. Here we are in front of the seal tank where the seals would beg and splash around for food that was being fed to them. Jace loved watching the seals swim around and make noises. They are really smelly though and if you get to close you could get splashed with yucky seal water. We walked along the beach and through all the shops. We kept getting caught in rainstorms that would happen all of the sudden. Sheldon took this picture while we ran for cover and he ran to get the stroller. We were all pretty soaked but luckily had some great waterproof jackets. Except Sheldon forgot his and he was drenched.

My parents took us out to dinner to celebrate my 29th birthday. We had a great view of the ocean! My mom and I both have very similiar Columbia jackets. We were twins the whole day!
We stayed in the beach house for two nights and the next day was much sunnier.Doesn't Sheldon look good holding the diaper bag! Here's the beach house we stayed in.The second day my Uncle Richard and his wife Roselle joined us. It was the first time the family had met Roselle because she just came to America from the Philippines. She was so happy to meet us all and loved playing with Jace. She was really nice and actually spoke and understood a lot more English than I thought she would. They live in Seattle and aren't really too far away from us. They might come and visit us again before we move.
We took Jace for a ride on the merry-go-round. He cried the whole time and was not happy about it. I think because I was startled when the ride started and it scared Jace. I felt bad because we thought it would be a lot of fun for him. This picture is also an attempt to take a picture of Jace with the Easter bunny. We had a great time in Seaside except the merry-go-round part!!
