OMSI

On Thursday we went to the OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science & Industry). We went with Danny and Melanie and their three kids. They had a dinosaur exhibit and the fossils were from China.

Skye Happy Birthday! I can't believe you are two already. I remember when you were just born and now you are growing up so fast. I am excited to see you this summer. I love you and love being your aunt!

St. Patrick's Day & Spring Break

Well my 27th birthday came and went. Sheldon gave me these beautiful flowers and made me a beautiful cake. He said the drawing on the cake was a portrait of me and I thought that was very sweet-well not really because the drawing on the cake is pretty funny looking. My parents were here last week and we were able to celebrate the occasion with them. We went to Spaghetti Factory for my b-day dinner and it was so yummy. We also did all kinds of fun stuff while my parents were here. We toured the coast mainly Seaside, Tillamook, Astoria, and Long Beach. We went in to Portland and saw the Japanese Garden and Rose Garden and we also went to the Woodburn Outlets for some shopping. I am excited because I have some birthday money to spend from Sheldon and my parents and I can't wait to go shopping. It was super fun to have my parents come and visit and to get to do some sightseeing around here. I was sad to see my parents leave. My parents also went a little crazy with the Tillamook products and we have three gallons of ice cream in our freezer that have been tempting me. We have black cherry, marionberry pie, and huckleberry. Yum!

This week is spring break and Sheldon and I have been having so much fun so far. On Monday we went to Newport, see my post below, and on Tuesday we went to McMennamins and went in the hot tub. Today we went to the aquatic center and went swimming. We have been enjoying having the week off and being able to spend it together.

Sea Lions at Newport

Newport, Oregon

We had a great time in Newport, Oregon. We met up with some other optometry school couples and had fun touring the coast. We saw the Yaquina Lighthouse and the Newport Harbor. We were also lucky to see seals, sea lions, and a whale sighting (we only saw water blowing up and not any part of the whale because it was so far in the distance). After our day of sightseeing we went out to eat. We had fun!

Blazer Game & Twilight

Last week Sheldon and I went to the Blazer vs. Suns basketball game at the Rose Garden. It was so fun to go to Portland and see what a really pretty city it is at night. It was also fun to see a professional basketball game. Shaq was playing and he is huge. The Blazers lost but we still had a great time. We went with several other optometry school couples.





I also read Twilight in one day and bought both novels New Moon and Eclipse. I read them both in two days. I love the books and I can't stop thinking about them. I know I need to get over it and start to live "real life."

I just found this website called Scrapblog.com and you can create your own scrapbook pages for your blog. I thought is was pretty cool so I have been playing around with it.

Prepare to be grossed out!

Sheldon's toe nail just fell off and he wanted me to take a picture of it and post it on the blog. So to humor him here it goes. I know it is totally gross. I have been looking at his black toe nail for a few weeks now. Ughh! But it was even grosser to see it when it came off!
