So, for those of you who don't know Sheldon and I are working with the LDS Family Services to go through the adoption process. We started way back last spring going through the process and we are still going through the process. First, we had to meet with our caseworker twice in a town that is about 45 minutes away and fill out a whole bunch of paperwork that took mega too many hours to complete. Then, on Monday, our caseworker is coming to our house for our homestudy. After that, which will be our third meeting, we have to meet for a fourth time for individual interviews and we also have to work on getting our online profile up and running. But, I am so excited! I am so excited because this is a process that has taken a long time, not just since this spring, but a long time to come to the decision to adopt after 5 years of infertility and struggling with what to do. I am also excited because this is bringing us one step closer to becoming parents. It has been hard watching my sisters, friends, and girls younger than me have babies and get to be moms. But I am so happy and at peace with the fact that our family will come together in a different way and that Heavenly Father has a plan for our family.
I can't wait for our profile to finally be online. I have been reading other couples' profiles on itsaboutlove.org and we are going to be on there soon. Yeah for the Olsens!
