Sheldon and I decided it would be fun to have a weekly family activity where we go and do something fun together as a family on the weekends. Sheldon works on Saturdays so this could happen on Saturday nights or on Mondays, since he doesn't work on Mondays. His weekends are Sundays and Mondays. So we decided to go out to eat at Panera Bread in Olympia and we went to the movies. We had so much fun! The next weekend we went to Red Lobster and the Pallayup Fair, which is the state fair for Washington. We had fun seeing all the animals and Jace loved looking at everything. Our next activity is an overnighter at the coast I planned for Sheldon's b-day and then maybe a pumpkin patch for another weekend. I can't wait!!
Funny faces!!
The little piggys are always my favorite and I think they were Jace's favorite too!

Labor Day Weekend
For Labor Day weekend we headed to Zion's Camp for Saturday and Sunday night. Some of our new friends from our ward were camping there and our friends from optometry school were there as well. We had fun going back and forth between campsites visiting with our friends, playing at the lake and playground, and shooting arrows in the archery range. We headed up there on Saturday after Sheldon got off work and then on Sunday we went home for church and naps and then went back camping that evening. I like camping when I can go home for a shower!! The camp ground is only twenty minutes from our house.
When we got home on Monday we jumped into "our lake" (that's what we call it since there are so many lakes around here) for some swimming fun since it was so sunny! What a fun Labor Day weekend!!!

My Buddy Jace
While Sheldon is hard at work Jace and I get to go and explore. (Thanks Sheldon for working so hard for us. :) I try to get out of Shelton about once a week and take Jace somewhere fun. I bought an annual pass at the children's museum in Olympia as well as a yearly pass to the zoo in Tacoma, so we've gone twice to the museum now and once to the zoo. We've also been to Chuck E. Cheese a few times too and always after a fun day together we usually end up at McDonald's in Shelton for a late lunch and a sometimes it works out that Sheldon can join us too! Sheldon was called into the young men's program in our church so he leaves home at 7am and doesn't come home until around 9pm on mutual nights so that is why I decided to go on our outings the same day. It really breaks up the day for us and we aren't as bored just hanging around the house waiting for Sheldon to come home. We've been having fun and Jace loves it!! Next on my to do list is Cabela's and Charlie's Safari.
Chuck E. Cheese fun!!!!
Jace's favorite part of the children's museum is the train room. He would stay in there forever if I let him.
Time for some McDonald's!!
Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma
Jace was mesmerized by the walruses. It was almost impossible to get him to turn around for any pictures.
Jace just learned how to make funny faces for the camera and will make a funny face when I ask him.
When we were walking out of the zoo we saw two fawns on the lawn on the way to our car. It was pretty awesome!
More fun at Chuck E. Cheese!!
Jace loves the "yellow bus" (that is what he calls it) and loves singing the song, "Wheels on the Bus" so he gets really excited anytime he sees one.
He rode the horse about 10 times before he got tired of it.
Thanks Jace for being my buddy!!!!

Northwest Trek
My friend Rebbecca invited Jace and I along to the Northwest Trek for the day with her and her kids. We all stuffed in her mini van and drove about an hour and a half. It was awesome! I was so glad she invited us because I probably wouldn't have done that by myself with just Jace. They have walking paths with viewing areas of different animals and they also have a tram ride that took us through animal habitats. We saw moose, bison, bighorn sheep, raccoon, deer, and probably some other I am forgetting about on our tram ride. Jace loved it!!
We went into the children discover center for some fun interactive displays and crafts.
We made ladybug antennas for Jace.
He had fun following the swimming beavers.
Our two attempts at getting a picture of both of us....Jace wasn't too excited about it though. :)
