We decided it was time to take down Jace's crib and get him a big boy bed. We asked him for about a month what type of room he wanted and he kept saying angry birds. I took him to the store a couple times and let him look at different themes and he always said angry birds was the one he wanted. They don't sell angry birds bedding in the US so I ordered some from ebay and it came from China with the tags and all the labels in Chinese. It took about a month to get here! We bought Jace a new bed, dresser, and night stand. I used the sheets from his bedding set to sew his curtains and now he has a bedroom full of angry birds. He was very excited and the first time he saw it all together he started jumping up and down and clapping. It was really cute. Jace has been doing great sleeping in his own bed and hasn't been wandering into our bed as much. When he had the crib sometimes we would wake up in the middle of night and he would be sleeping in our bed without us realizing he had climbed in with us until he would kick one of us or monopolize all the bed space. So it's been a great switch and a needed change for our big boy!!

A Visit to the Zoo
When we first moved to Washington we decided to buy a year pass to the Point Defiance Zoo. We have been quite a few times now and we decided to go again on a Monday in February. Sheldon gets Sunday and Mondays off so we always go and do something as a family on Mondays. We usually go to the movies and out to eat or some type of fun place that Jace would enjoy. We decided to go to the zoo since the weather was actually pretty nice that day. We had fun as always and have really been enjoying our zoo pass.
We actually got to see the Red Wolves this time.
The walruses are Jace's favorite!
We stayed at the touch pool for a long time.
Jace loved watching the tapir and he still is talking about how me misses it since it lives at the zoo.
We always end our day at the playground.
The day was clear enough we had a view of Mt. Rainier.
The carousel ride is always the last thing we do before we say goodbye to the zoo.

Valentine's Day
We had a fun Valentine's Day at our house. Jace helped me decorate by gluing pieces of paper on a heart. I wrote some things we love about Sheldon on some other hearts and we taped them to one of our windows. I made chicken enchiladas and we very excited for Sheldon to come home so we could show him our gift to him. We all got some candy and we gave Jace a new scooter. He was very excited about it. We also bought one extra scooter so either Sheldon or I can take Jace out scooting. Sheldon gave me some nice flowers too! What a fun day to celebrate with my husband and son!!

February Happenings
February was good month for our family too. We had some "firsts" in our family. Jace went potty standing up for the first time in the toilet! We've been trying to get him to do that forever but he was very insistent that he needed to sit down. I got my first 60 minute massage (an anniversary present that I just barely cashed in on). Sheldon bought his first projector (he's been dying to have one forever). We had fun this month watching movies outside and inside on a very large screen. We also have been enjoying some hot dog roasts outside since the weather has gotten a little bit warmer. We also had a babysitter two weekends in a row for date nights. Wahoo! We had fun celebrating Valentine's Day which I will post about in my next post.
I often find Jace on Lucky's bed. They are buddies most of the time.
We do play-dough almost every day.
Here's the projector we've been using for movie nights.
More play-dough pictures. :)
Barb, a lady that works at the vision center with Sheldon gave Jace a large coloring book and some crayons. He's been having fun coloring.
On the one sunny day this month we had to get out and go to the park. :) (that's probably an exaggeration about one sunny day, but it really feels like it)
Jace eating a Popsicle and refusing to smile normally.
More play-dough and eating pictures. :)
Last week it snowed two days in a row. Jace and I had fun walking around and trying to eat the giant snowflakes.
Sheldon took this picture of Jace one morning while I was at the gym. This was the second day of snow we had in February!

Most of the pictures I took are of Jace, like usual, and a lot of them are of him eating. I guess that is a time I actually sit down and think to get the camera out. :)
