Jace Updates

Jace went on his first plane ride last weekend. We went to Vernal for Sheldon's brother's wedding and Jace slept soundly through both plane rides (to our relief). He also can hold his head up now without us holding it and he really enjoys standing upright and putting pressure on his legs. So we thought we would try the jumper my friend let us borrow and he really likes it. We have to stuff blankets on both sides of him so he will fit snug in it. He also was able to grasp onto his bottle and for the first time he grabbed a toy and shook it. I couldn't believe it! It seemed like all in one weekend he started changing and growing up. He is one adorable little guy and I am so thankful everyday for him. Sometimes I just start crying because I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a mom. It's truly amazing!

1 Month

Jace turned 1 month old on Sunday. I can't believe how fast it went. I'm just glad we got lots of pictures of the adorable little guy. We had a great 4th of July weekend. We went to Rockaway beach with some friends. Jace was really fussy from his circumcision so he only made it outside for about half an hour and we watched the fireworks from the upstairs window in the condo our friends had rented. Sunday Jace turned 1 month and we sang happy birthday to him. He is making good eye contact, smiling, and cooing now. It's so cute. I like to call him "my love" or "little man" and he also really enjoys bath time. He also slept in his crib for the first time last weekend. He will only take a pacifier when he is really really happy and if I try to take it away he gets pretty mad. That is why most of the pictures he has a pacifier in his mouth. I tried to get him from only taking the huge green pacifier they gave him at the hospital so I packed it away with all his hospital clothes I'm keeping. But after his circumcision I finally gave in and got it out. He took it right away and its the only pacifier he'll use to soothe himself. Oh well! I'm just glad when he's happy! I love my little man so much! He means so much to us and I can't wait for him to be sealed to us. We have to wait six months. We are planning on doing it at the Portland temple and his baby blessing that same weekend. It will be sometime in December!
