January in Review

January was a fun month for our family.  After we came home from our long stay in Las Vegas we were greeted by snow, LOTS of SNOW.  Sheldon spent two hours shoveling our drive way so he could come and get me and Jace at the airport.  It took him three hours to drive to the airport and three hours to drive home.  Sheldon spent a total 8 hours just trying to get us home.  We were excited for all the snow and spent a lot of time playing in it and tubing too.  Jace loved it.  Everything was pretty much closed down for about a week, except for Walmart.  :(  Sheldon had to put chains on the car every day just to get out of our driveway onto the main road.

Here is a view from our house of the lake.

It was almost frozen over, but only at the surface.  Jace and I had fun throwing rocks on the ice and watching them skid really far away.
Our snowy house!
I told Jace not to put his hands in the water, but he couldn't resist.  Here he is crying about cold hands.
Jace had fun playing inside with the tube his dad bought for him.

One day I was eating chips and salsa and Jace decided he wanted some too.  He dipped his chip into the salsa and said it was delicious.  He likes to call is salsy.
He is very big into making funny faces when I get out the camera.

This was the last day we were able to play outside in the snow before it all melted away.

There is a park on the other side of the lake that we can walk to on this walking path.  We saw a crane on our walk.

Once all the snow melted, things got pretty muddy.  Here's Jace and Daddy giving Lucky a much needed bath.
January was a busy month for me with preparing for New Beginnings for young women's and working on my master's degree.  I'm lucky I even took this many pictures.  Sheldon is always busy with work and young men's for his church calling.  Jace is as busy as ever and doing well with the potty training.  He loved the snow!  Sheldon's Saturday is actually on Mondays and we enjoyed our weekly Monday outing as a family.  I'll have to get more pictures of those.  January was a pretty good month!

Las Vegas Trip Part 3

We were all excited when Melanie and Heather arrived.  Heather brought her whole family with her and we were excited to see everyone again. It had been almost a whole year since we had all seen each other.

Cute Aunt Melanie!
Heather and her family loving the twins!
One morning we went to Mountain's Edge park to let the kids run around.  We also hiked to the top of a hill nearby and had a great view of Las Vegas.

My Aunt Linda hosted a girls tea party for everyone and we had fun catching up and eating yummy food.

My mom threw Natalie a party for the babies.  We had fun games, delicious food, and Natalie got lots of good stuff to help her out with the twins.
I made her a diaper cake and I had fun making the cupcakes too.
Natalie's cute family, with FOUR kids!!
Heather had fun games for the kids to play.  They had to throw a Frisbee on candy and anything the Frisbee covered they could put in their goodie bag.  They also had a scavenger hunt through the house to find a prize.

We played pin the binky on the baby.

Grandma GG threw an excellent party!

We had another bonfire at Natalie's house.

We went to the Bellagio again and this time the atrium was decorated for Chinese New Year.

We had to see the water show too.

The last day, everyone went to the children's museum, bowling, and out to eat.  Right when we got out of the car to go to the museum Jace threw up.  So Jace and I headed back to my parent's house while everyone else had a fun day.  :(

The next day everyone left.  My flight was canceled due to the snow in Washington so I was in Las Vegas for one extra day.  Natalie and I took the kids to Pump It Up, an indoor bounce house place.  I didn't take my camera since it was so last minute and all my stuff was packed ready to go on the airplane.  We finally did make it home on January 18th to a whole lot of SNOW (more pics to come)!  We had a great time in Las Vegas, but we were very excited to see Sheldon. Thanks Mom and Dad for all the fun!!
