Feeling Happy

Hi everyone! Nothing is really new but I just felt like posting. I just broke down and bought the book Twilight. I keep hearing everyone talking about the book and how good it is. So I am really excited to start reading. Another reason why I am feeling happy is because I love Thursday nights because Survivor is on and so is Lost. Those are two shows that I am really addicted to. So yeah for Thursdays and only one more day until the weekend!

Exciting News!

Well, it's official. We just booked our airplane tickets to Missouri! We are planning on driving to Salt Lake City this summer and then flying out of SLC to Missouri for a two week long vacation with my family in Missouri. I am excited to see my sis and her kids. I feel like I hardly know my nieces and nephew because we live so far away. When we come back from vacation we are planning on spending some time in Utah and then we'll head down to Las Vegas and probably into southern California to enjoy the beach. I am thinking we'll probably go to Newport Beach. We'll head back to Utah for Sheldon's favorite holiday, the 24th of July, and then we'll make the long trip back to Oregon. I am so excited that both Sheldon and I are going to have a long summer break and we get to spend it with our families. On a side note-Sheldon and I had a great Valentine's Day! He gave me a dozen roses and a really sweet card that made me cry. I am so happy to be married to such a great man. I gave him a new video game for his PS2 and some candy. We are planning on going out to celebrate but that hasn't happend yet because he is so busy with school. He had several tests this week and some more next week. He's really doing great in school though and I am so proud of him. I love Sheldon!

Happy B-day Kyra & Joe!

Kyra is such a sweet girl! I love being her aunt and watching her grow up. I can't believe she is 5 already! She is so smart and lovable!
Joe, I can't believe how old you are! Just kidding! I hope you had a happy b-day and enjoy being married to my super cool sister. You'll have to tell me what being in your 30's is like.

Holly Happy B-day! Sorry we are so far away and couldn't celebrate with you. You look so beautiful in all of your wedding pictures. I am glad that we were there to be part of your wedding. I love your new blog and am so happy for you and Ben in your new life together. Happy B-day Mathew! I watched you grow up from a teenager into an adult. Wow! I am glad to be your sister-in-law and wish we could see you more. Sorry your stuck with Sheldon as a brother-just kidding. He loves you but just hasn't found a way to express it except beating up on you-sorry!

Here's a pic of our new bedding. My mom and dad gave it to me for my b-day. My b-day isn't going to happen until March but my mom knew that the bedspread I wanted was on sell. So I got an early birthday present. Thanks mom!

Thanksgiving

Sheldon's brother and his family came to visit us for Thanksgiving. We had a lot of fun and ate a lot of food!

Sheldon's 27th Birthday

Sheldon asked for a guitar for his b-day. He wants to learn how to play. He played with it for a few days but hasn't really done anything else to learn how. I think when he has some more time this summer he'll start. He does have a really good singing voice.

I'm new to blogging...

Hi! This is my first attempt at blogging. After looking at all my pics and trying to decide which ones to put on this blog I have come to the realization that I don't take enough pictures. Most of the pictures I do have other people took. I am making the resolution to start taking more pictures.
Sheldon and I have been married for five years now! I can't belive how fast the time has gone. This is my fifth year teaching elementary school. I graduated from BYU in elementary education with a minor in physical education and Sheldon graduation from the University of Utah with a biology degree and minor in chemistry. He is now in his first year in optometry school. Only 7 more semesters to go. It seems like he has been in school for ever! We really do have a happy life. We just bought a new house and we love it. We do miss Salt Lake City where we lived for the last five years, but we are getting used to living in a new place.





Sheldon has a pretty big family with two sisters and two brothers. I have three sisters. We both have three nieces and one nephew on both sides of our family. It's fun to be an aunt and for Sheldon to be an uncle. We are definately looking forward to having our own children when the time comes.


These pics are from our summer vacation. We were gone for three weeks this summer before our move. We went to northern and southern California to Disneyland, San Deigo, and San Fransico. We also spent time in Las Vegas, went to Zion's National Park, and Tauchan Theater in St. George. It was such a fun vacation. After we got home we had two days to pack up and move. It was pretty crazy but an overall fun summer. It's good to be settled and for Sheldon to start optometry school. I am also enjoying my job and am grateful for all that we have. We truly have been so blessed.
