The Cutest Little Boy!

My friend Ameeta and her husband took pictures of Jace in his Halloween monkey costume and in his white blessing outfit. Jace fell asleep mid photo shoot. I think he looks so precious asleep in his white outfit. Check out Ameeta's photography website to see more baby Jace pics: www.shuttersightphotography.com Click on galleries and then children to see them.

A Very Special Weekend!

After Jace's adoption became finalized we were able to have Jace's baby blessing and be sealed together in the Portland Temple. We had an amazing weekend with our family and friends as we celebrated having our sweet son Jace become part of our family forever. It is a weekend I will remember forever and I feel so grateful to my Heavenly Father for allowing us to be parents to this special little boy. He means everything to us. We were so grateful for the support of all of our family and friends.

It's Official!

Today we went to the Washington County Courthouse and Judge Cobb finalized Jace's adoption! We are so blessed to have Jace be part of our family. The ceremony was really nice and we are so grateful everything is officially done and Jace is legally our child! It was an amazing day! I'm glad my sister Natalie and nephew Ashton could be there to celebrate with us.

Thanksgiving

This year we had Thanksgiving at our house and had three other optometry student couples over as well. We had such yummy food and a great time together. We are still stuffed from the great meal and all the leftovers. I'm glad we have good friends that we can celebrate with since we are all so far away from family. This was Jace's first Thanksgiving!

Jace is almost 6 months!

Jace is going to be six months next Saturday. The time has gone by so fast. I can't believe 6 months ago we were just finding out about this special little guy and getting ready to welcome him into our home. He has grown so much and we've enjoyed every minute of it. Jace can roll over from his back to his stomach but then he gets stuck. He hasn't figured out yet how to roll over the other way.
He's sitting up almost by himself. He just needs a little support because he topples over in a few minutes. He loves playing with his daddy's backpack.

We're getting ready for Jace's blessing and the temple sealing next weekend. We're very excited and have his white outfit all picked out.

He's started eating solid food and it gets everywhere. Sometimes he has more fun chewing on his bib then eating his food.

His legs are getting stronger and he really enjoys standing upright.

Fall Break

I just took this picture of Jace today! I think his flat behind is so cute!!

Sheldon had three days off last week and we went with some friends to Lincoln City. We rented a beach house and took Jace to the beach. The view was beautiful but it was very cold!!

PUCO

Jace went to PUCO (Pacific University College of Optometry) for his first eye exam. Sheldon's class is learning how to do pediatric eye exams and Jace was the center of attention as a room full of optometry students watched one of the professors give Jace an exam. Jace did great. He didn't really need to be in front of the phoropter but Sheldon thought it would be fun to get a picture of Jace in front of it anyway. Sheldon made a shirt for Jace that said PUCO Class of 2036 and on the back it said Eye love optometry. Jace did great for his first eye exam!

Here's a cute picture of Jace I took on Monday night. We went for a family walk for FHE.

Jace Laughing

Halloween x 3

This year we had three fun Halloween parties that we went to. The first was a party with some of our ward friends. It was fun to see everyone dressed up. Sheldon and I were asked to participate in the Newlewed game that night and we got the least questions right out of anyone. We were laughing because our answers were so different. I guess we still have a lot to learn about each other even after 7 years of marriage. We went to an optometry Halloween party and Sheldon tried his best at the doughnut eating contest but didn't win. He tried really hard though! I thought he was going to choke. On Halloween we went to the church for Trunk or Treat. Sheldon took Jace around to each trunk and Jace got really excited about all the fun. He was looking around at all the costumes. This year we dressed up as characters from the Wizard of Oz. I was the wicked witch and Sheldon and Jace were my flying monnkeys. Jace didn't have his wings yet because he was just a baby monkey. That's what we kept telling everyone. Jace looked so cute in his monkey costume and I think he stole the show. He's just an adorbable little monkey! Trunk or Treat
