Jace is 2!!

Jace turned 2 on June 5th.  I can't believe it!!  Our little baby is now a full-fledged toddler.  This past year he has learned how to walk, run, jump, and talk.  On his 1st birthday he was still crawling and it's amazing how much he has developed in one year.  He switched from two naps to one nap and he also gave up his pacifier and his bottle too.  He also might be ready for potty training soon.  At his 2 year check up he was 37 1/4 inches tall, 35lbs 7oz., and his head circumference was 48.8 cm.  He is above the 95th percentile for height and weight and is in the 50-75th percentile for his head size.  A year ago he was 32 inches tall, weighed 26 pounds, and his head was 46 cm.  So he has grown 5 inches, gained 9 pounds, and his head has grown almost 3 cm in one year.  He is certainly growing into such a big boy.  He is getting better at talking and it seems like everyday he is saying a new word.  He has just learned to say surprise and I think it's soooo cute.  He also knows the colors purple, yellow, and blue. He is getting very good at requesting a sippy cup and asking for us to turn on a t.v. show for him-almost too good at it since he does that to stall bed time. :)  He has also learned what sad and happy mean and likes to act out that he is really sad and then turns really happy.  He loves looking at animals and knows most of their sounds.  He loves to say ouchy and will say it over and over again while looking at a small scratch on his body.  He is also going through a pushing stage much to our dismay so I have to watch him very closely when he is with other kids that are smaller than him.  He has learned all about time outs.  It's a stage that I am hoping he will go through quickly.  We love him so much and I am so grateful we are his parents.          

Grandma GG was able to convince him sunglasses are cool.  After we came back from our cruise he would wear them in the car.  Before that he would just rip them off his face and wanted nothing to do with them.
