We had a great Christmas day together as a family. We decided not to spend much money on Christmas presents this year since anything we buy we have to pack and bring back home with us and space in our suitcases is limited. Plus being in Hawaii really feels like our Christmas present since it was so expensive to get here and live here. :) We found this little toy car on the curb ready to be thrown out. So we picked it up and cleaned it and left it out for Jace to find in the morning. We bought him a little shopping cart and filled it with his stocking filled with small toys and candy. Sheldon and I both filled each other's stockings and gave each other a few presents too. After presents we ate a delicious breakfast and then later in the day we went on a sunset dinner cruise around Waikiki. It was a fun way to celebrate Christmas together. Mele Kalikimaka!

Jace ran straight out to the little car and wanted to push it and ride in it too. As soon as he noticed his shopping cart he threw everything on the ground so he could push it around. He doesn't like anything to be in the cart.

Here's Jace playing with his tennis balls he received and his face is covered in chocolate since he found his stocking and wanted to eat his candy right away.
Here he is checking out the contents of his stocking.
He got candy, chocolate goldfish, sidewalk chalk, tennis balls, ring pops, a Care Bear DVD, and a ring stacking toy.
Sheldon received a new white dress shirt, candy, and a calendar with photos of Jace for his desk at work.
I got candy, chocolates, body butter, and some new head phones.
Here's Jace trying to eat a Ring Pop. He liked slipping it on and off his finger and also smearing sticky goo everywhere. :)
After breakfast we went outside so he could try out his new sidewalk chalk. It was a hit.
And my parents gave us...a sunset dinner cruise on the Ali'i Kai Catamaran (really they gave us money and we decided to spend it on entertainment while in Oahu-thanks mom and dad!!). They served a full dinner buffet and had a luau as well. After the luau they opened up the dance floor to everyone and we had fun dancing. We also had fun on the top deck looking at the beautiful sunset and views of Waikiki. Jace loved the boat.

Your dinner cruise sounds like so much fun. I'm glad you found something special to do as a family on Christmas day with your present money.
The dinner cruise had to be awesome! How fun that you decided to spend your money on an experience you will always remember :)
