We had a great Christmas Eve together in Hawaii. Sheldon and I both were missing family but we were able to enjoy a Christmas Eve that was totally unique from any we have ever celebrated. We went to Lanikai Beach and had fun building sand castles, swimming, and playing Frisbee. This was probably my favorite beach we have been to yet. The views were amazing, the water was clear, and the sand was soft and white. The waves were just small enough that Jace enjoyed playing in them and they weren't so big that I had to hold on to him the entire time. After our day at the beach we came home and had a super delicious dinner and we each opened one present. Jace got new Christmas pajamas, I got a board game, and Sheldon got two Christmas DVD's. Sheldon and I both decided to give each other presents that were something that we could do together as a family on Christmas Eve. It was a great Christmas Eve in paradise!
Here's Jace the morning of Christmas Eve ready to go out and do something fun.
Here's our little Christmas tree and our stockings.
On our way to Lanikai we stopped at the Pali Lookout but didn't go see it because it was raining. We decided to save that adventure for another day. But there were a ton of wild chickens on the side of the road and Jace loved looking at them.
Here we are on Lanikai Beach, a little slice of Heaven on Earth.

Here's our Christmas Eve dinner. Sheldon requested ham and funeral potatoes and we also had corn, rolls, smoothies, and pumpkin pie. Yummy! Jace chowed down on the ham.

Jace wanted to stand on the presents until we showed him how to unwrap them.

Here's Jace checking out the monkey on his pajamas and getting very sleepy.
It was a fun Christmas Eve!
